Genuine Blue Ox baseplates are engineered to be shock absorbing and integrated into the individual bumper frame or unibody for superior protection against damage due to large loads.

Designed to let the baseplate torsion or flex, similar to a receiver hitch, so it absorbs the forces of towing rather than rigidly transferring the forces to the frame of the towed vehicle. Positioned for proper and secure attachment to the frame and for easy access to hook up the tow bar. Many models have removable tabs so the vehicle's appearance is not affected.
